Veronica (she/her) is one of our Associate Clinicians and the designated child & family therapist. She is a registered social worker, psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (reg# 836618). She is also a registered Circle of Security® Parenting™ (COSP™) facilitator with Circle of Security International and one of our SPACE treatment providers.

Veronica is also an approved provider for the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. Our clinic offers direct billing for eligible clients enrolled in the NIHB program.

  • Child and youth mental health such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, neurodivergence, identity related challenges, emotional regulation issues, and disordered eating, etc.
  • Parent-child interaction challenges, attachment-focused parenting interventions (COSP™), and parent-based treatment services for childhood anxiety (SPACE treatment).
  • Developmental trauma informed care for children and youth who are adopted or in foster care and their families who are self referred or referred by agencies in the community such as CAS.
  • Culturally responsive care for First Nations and Inuit clients (primarily children and youth) accessing counselling services through the NIHB program.
  • Young adults or post-secondary students struggling to cope with life transition issues, peer or collegial relationships, and other mental health challenges.

Professional Experience:

Veronica is an experienced child & family therapist. Throughout her career, she focused on working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in a variety of clinical practice settings such as a rehabilitation team, post-secondary counselling (university), immigration and refugee youth counselling, and children’s mental health agency. Veronica also has experiences supporting children and families in the child welfare system.

Education & Training:

Veronica holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies from Carleton University. She has also received the following post-graduate training, but not limited to:

Jason has over a decade of experience in human and social services in various settings, including roles as a Anglican priest, a manager in a community mental health setting, and a psychotherapist. He had the privilege of working in the most northern communities of Nunavut, where he served remote and isolated communities, gaining a deep understanding of human lives and relational connections.

Education & Training:

Jason earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Carleton University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Religious Studies from Université Laval in Quebec City, and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from the University of Toronto. Following his graduate studies, Jason also obtained a Certificate of Addiction Studies from McMaster University. Bruno (he/him) is the Clinical Director and individual, couples & sex therapist. Professional Experience:

Bruno is a founder of Intersections Therapy Collective and dedicates his time providing the best clinical care to clients and operating the clinic.

His most recent professional experience in the public sector was working as a therapist at a university medical clinic supporting youth and young adults struggling with mental health and academic challenges, and collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists and registered nurses on various cases. Bruno has also conducted 2SLGBTQIA+ focused group therapy programs and delivered mental health workshops at the university.

Previous experiences include adult mental health counselling, crisis intervention, private adoption practice, child protection (i.e. Children’s Aid Society), addictions & harm reduction, Indigenous social services (family violence and well-being programs), child welfare policy research, and children’s mental health practice & parent advocacy work (PCMH).

Bruno also provides workshops and psycho-educational presentations to groups and organizations. Most recently, he presented a professional seminar titled “Loss and Identity for Intercountry Adoptees: Exploring Narrative Therapy” at 2023 North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) conference in Kansas City, MO.
